National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management - Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T) is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India. It is engaged in academics, research, entrepreneurship development in the field of food processing. It has been ranked 12th in the Agricultural Allied Sector category under the NIRF ranking system of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India during the year 2024.
NIFTEM-T and The Placement Cell strives to develop strong linkages and collaboration between NIFTEM-T and the food industries across the country to promote food industrial research and development activities, training, and other joint initiatives.
The Placement Cell facilitates student placements & internships, industrial visits, arrange guest lectures for the student community on the recent trends and opportunities in food processing, and train students to be industry-ready. It also strives to get CSR funds parked with various industries for the Institute development. We have significant network of alumni flourishing as entrepreneurs and are part of leading companies to take abroad. The Placement Cell of NIFTEM-T strives to coordinate to industries for research collaborations, and knowledge-sharing sessions which help the overall growth of the Institute.
