The Department of Food Plant Operations, Incubation and Entrepreneurship is a feather on the cap of NIFTEM-T, consistently engaged in a variety of activities throughout the year. These activities include hands-on training sessions such as one-day beginner’s training, three-day master’s training, five-day executive training, online training, and special training for various stakeholders. Additionally, the department offers incubation services and technical support for entrepreneurs and food start-ups especially the NIFTEM-T Technologies that are ready for commercialization.

1. Financial assistance up to ₹10 Lakhs per incubatee (80% R&D/marketing + 20% incubation services).
2. 12 Months incubation support (extendable up to 6 months based on progress).
3. Mentoring, equipment access, pilot plant, and technical guidance.
*Selection Process:*
1. Initial Application: Submit company profile, brief idea/proposal, expected outcome, and eligibility documents online.
2. Shortlisting & Presentation: Online presentation before the Incubation Appraisal Committee.
3. Detailed Proposal: Shortlisted applicants submit a detailed viable proposal covering R&D, required infrastructure, budget, timelines, export impact, and IP declarations for final evaluation by the Expert Committee.
