Dr. Ashish Rawson is an Assistant Professor of Food Process Engineering at Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology. He obtained his Doctoral degree from National University of Ireland Galway and Teagasc Food Research Centre Ashtown, Dublin, Ireland, on thesis entitled as "An Investigation of the effects of thermal and non thermal processing methods on polyacetylenes from Apiaceae?. He served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Process and Food Engineering, Allahabad Agricultural Institute - Deemed University, Allahabad (now known as Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences) before joining for his PhD studies at National University of Ireland Galway & Teagasc Food Research Centre Ashtown, Dublin, thereafter he pursued a post doctoral research at NUI Galway and Teagasc Food Research Centre Ashtown, Dublin. He has published numerous research papers in peer reviewed high impact International Journals and book chapters. He has also presented several papers in national and international conferences. He serves as reviewer in many international journals. He is the member of Irish Phytochemical Food Network, Dublin, Ireland; Institute of Food Technologists, Chicago, USA; Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi, India.
His area of research and teaching interests are Novel processing technologies, process modeling and optimization, neutraceuticals.
