ACADEMIC MILESTONES
1. Student Strength
Considering the importance of providing trained manpower for the food processing sector the student intake in various Academic degree program have been increased. In B. Tech. (Food Technology) degree program, strength has increased from 60 to 75 from academic year 2019-20 onwards. The strength of M. Tech. degree program is 12 in each discipline from academic year 2019-20 onwards. The strength of Ph.D. degree program is 8 in each discipline from academic year 2019-20 onwards.
2. Students placement
Every year, NIFTEM-T conduct On-campus interviews for the placements of final year students. Food processing firms/ industries come to recruit the young professionals for their needs. Apart from the regular placements, the institute assists the students to get higher education opportunities in premier institutes of India and across the world. Periodically, institute organize special guest lectures of various experts from industries, academics and personality management to build up the students’ ability and self-confidence to face their future confidently.
3. Higher Studies
Pass out students from NIFTEM-T have taken up higher education in reputed top ranking education institution in Overseas University such as AIT, Thailand; Kasertsart University, Thailand, ONIRIS, France, Kansas State University, USA, University of Wisconsin, USA India and Abroad. Some of pass out students joined in national institutions such as IIMS, XLRI, Manage, NIAM, CFTRI, TNAU, NIFTEM & ICT, Mumbai.
4. Student Exchange Program
Through student exchange program NIFTEM-T PG-students can continue their research work at Overseas University. From last three years total 12 M.Tech. students under students Exchange program to ONIRIS, France. Similarly total 8 students from Overseas University have been completed their research at NIFTEM-T.
5. Academic UG and PG Project work as Mission mode Program
NIFTEM-T has taken an initiative to give complete processing solution to important Agricultural Commodities. Under this, under graduate and Post graduate research work will be part of Mission Mode program.
