Dr. M. Tito Anand is an Assistant Professor and in-charge of Workshop and fabrication Unit at National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management - Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T), Thanjavur, India. He received his UG degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University in 1997 and M. Tech in Food Process Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram in 2011. He completed his doctoral degree in TNAU, Tamil Nadu in 2021. He joined NIFTEM-T as workshop engineer in 2003. He has worked on rice milling Technology and fabrication of gadgets for food/Agri processing. He had completed his project at University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada under student exchange programme in PG degree. He has also undergone ToT training in the field of advance manufacturing in FSSAI at Kolkata.
He has guided 15 undergraduates and eight postgraduates and one M.Phil. students from other colleges in their project and dissertation work. He teaches basic workshop technology, Thermodynamics and CAD courses for B. Tech (Food Process Engineering/ Food Technology) students. He has served as an organizing committee member and conducted many national seminars and outreach programs for NIFTEM-T. He has more than fifteen publications to his credit in various national and international journals.
